Imayam College of Engineering

Our Imayam College of Engineering envisions in achieving rural upliftment by imparting high quality Technical Education. The Imayam College of Engineering started in the year 2009 – 2010 is a co-educational self financing Institution approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. Affiliated to the Anna University, Trichy, the College has gained recognition as a novel, state of the art Engineering College that imparts Technical Education in line with international norms.

Our College offers 4 Programmes. Learning environment in this College is one that brings together the best of infrastructure and human resource, enriching the treasure of knowledge to the students. The College also plans to give equal importance to the all-round development.

The courses of study are organized on semester pattern. The medium of instruction is English. At the end of each semester, Anna University, Trichy, conducts Examinations. Evaluation is done by The Board of Examiners and results will be announced by the Anna University.

Department of Civil Engineering :

The Department of Civil Engineering ensures that Students have the opportunity to work with latest equipments both in the laboratories and while on projects with various construction companies in and around the City. Universal Testing Machine, Constant heat B.O.D. Incubators are a few instruments that they regularly use during their sessions. Our College also undertake projects and material testing in its specialized labs for various organizations working locally.

Department of Mechanical Engineering :

The Department has excellent laboratory infrastructual facilities and the Students are trained in the following sectors to enhance their practical skills.

Thermal Engineering Laboratory :

Thermal Engineering lab is probably the largest and consists of following sections, viz., the Engines section, Heat and Mass Tarnsfer section, Refrigiration and Air conditioning section and the Air Experiments section.

Central Workshop :

The Lathe Shop has a number of KIRLOSKAR, HMT,PSG and MMM Lathes. The Special Machines Shop has Gear Hobbing Machines, apart from conventional Milling, Drilling , Planing, Shaping Slotting, Capstan Lathe and Tool & Cutter Grinder Machines.
